I’m a Romanian-American implant in Paris. I was born and raised in a big industrial center––think of it as the Manchester or Pittsburgh of Romania. I was destined to follow my family in the metallurgy biz. I became a designer instead.

In my most recent role, I led brand design at Sapia.ai, helping reshape hiring around fairness and access.

Before moving into HR tech, I spent over a decade in advertising, working across creative campaigns, brand building, and the design of products, platforms, and digital and real-world experiences. Sometimes for small brands, sometimes for Fortune 500 brands. Was privileged to work with top-tier talent and amazing industry leaders. I learned a thing or two from each. I’ve also led multi-disciplinary teams across the globe: Washington DC, New York and Amsterdam. My goal was always to create an environment where no one feels like an outsider. For me, the great thing about creative work is it can push against racial, gender, age cultural stereotypes.

I have worked in-house & agency side. Also worked in consultancies, digital studios, branding studios and tech companies. I’m at home in both design-driven companies and smaller design departments that support larger business goals. No matter where I go, I always roll up my sleeves; I’m very much a hands-on designer.

I design with an engineering mindset. I think about systems, structure and sustainability. It also happens I have a BS in mechanical engineering.

I’m fluent in English and Romanian. Intermediate-ish in French.
